Logically Illogical

Feb 1

I’ve always had a thing for handmade gifts.  If I have to pick between an expensive gift bought from a store and a hand-written letter with crap doodles on it, I’d pick the latter any day with no hesitation.  Things “made with love” is a cheesy old cliche, but even so, the time and effort you spend in creating something to give to someone else gives that gift a little something extra: a message telling the recipient how important they are to you, and it’s a more powerful message than any Hallmark card can ever send.

So for our third anniversary (today) I made her these.  I hope it sends out the message that she is the sunshine that brightens my day, the voice of conscience that keeps me on the right path, and that I wouldn’t be the person I am right now without her.  Is, was, has always been, will forever be.

Also that romance isn’t dead, and all you need is some flowers, a pair of scissors, glue, and some Trader Joe’s bags.
