I dislike your soccer choices. Being a Man City fan myself I can never forgive you. Love you art, your style, the way you answer questions, but your choice is sports? Psh.

Yeah, well, can’t suddenly switch support to the biggest rival team after following Man United since 1995, can I?

Spirited defending tonight.  As much as it hurts me to say it, you guys deserve the win tonight.  You’ll do well with Kompany leading your team.  I’d point out the fact that we’ve been without our captain for most of the season, but at this point it’ll just be excuses.

Like a good football fan I will start a fight tonight with my pillows as I cry myself to sleep.

I'm sorry if this is a frequently asked question/you've answered this before, but could you recommend a good place to print artbooks like the ones you mentioned you were planning on printing? Most people I have asked have recommended printing overseas, but they have connections and I don't; other people get them printed in the US but they're either low quality or too expensive, so I don't know what to do D8 Thanks so much in advance!

unfortunately i’m not very experienced when it comes to printing full-color artbooks.  when you’re printing artbooks, you need to make sure the paper you use is of good enough quality that the colors will show nicely, but the thing is i’ve never had (and probably will never have) printed full color artbooks.  all the books i’ve printed are black and white comics, which means regular printer would suffice.  for comics and this future sketchbook i’m planning on printing out, i’m using racomicsdirect.  i’ve used ka-blam in the past for comic printing, but their quality and customer service has gone so far downhill that i’m not going to touch them ever again.

oversea printing is another way of doing things, but like you, i don’t have any connections outside the US as well, so we just gotta live with what we’ve got here.  i, for one, don’t really like to deal with a middleman, probably because i’m quite a control freak when it comes to my own products, and i feel unsafe trusting my product at the hands of people i barely know.  i like to work with the company directly so if there’s any issue i can just bother them myself.

What kind of college did you go to as both an undergrad and a grad student?

I went to UC San Diego as an undergrad, majoring in physics.  Then I went to UC Irvine for gradschool, also in physics.

They’re nothing special, but San Diego is a beautiful place to live in.

Here's your chance: Anonymously tell me something you DISLIKE about me → e1n.tumblr.com

My askbox is here

Anon or not, it’s up to you.  I’m merely curious, and know that I am not easily offended, so do your worse.

It can be about anything: my art, my attitude, size of my nose, the way I type, how I answer questions, the tone of my voice, the subjects I draw, the nails on my fingers, color of my skin, anything, you get the point.

The dislike can also range from mildly annoyed to INTENSE LOATHING.  Spill it.  Spill it all.

Inputs? Opinions?

I’m contemplating on compiling my sketches and printing them in a book to sell at cons.  As a consumer (not a creator), do you prefer purchasing books that are SADDLE STITCHED (SS) or PERFECT BOUND (PB)?

image

To elaborate, it costs almost twice as much to print books with perfect binding.  I personally prefer PB but by printing SS, I can lower the price of the books that I sell.  What do you guys think?

If you’re also in the business of printing books/comics, tell me what you think also from a creator standpoint.  I’d love to know.

Thanks, Tumblees.

On Legend of Korra, Episode 3, The Revelation → masterarrowhead.tumblr.com

Well, this is a brilliant theory. Only click if you’ve watched the episode, or risk yourself getting spoiled on Amon’s—-
